Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) opened in 1963 as Ohio`s first community college and remains Ohio`s oldest and largest public community college. For over 50 years Tri-C has provided high quality, affordable education and programs to more than 900,000 members of the community. At Tri-C, we are part of a national movement to redesign, reinvent and reset the completion agenda. The College strives to empower students to complete their education in a timely manner and to guide them toward meaningful careers or to four-year universities. Tri-C ranks first in Ohio and 45th in the nation in conferring associate degrees in all disciplines. Each semester the College offers more than 1,000 credit courses in more than 140 career and technical programs and liberal arts curricula. More than 600 non-credit workforce and professional development courses are offered annually. Tri-C serves more than 60,000 credit and non-credit students each year, and offers day, evening and weekend classes in traditional classroom settings as well as via television, the Internet and independent learning. The College offers more than 800 Distance Learning courses and more than 130 courses at various locations throughout the community, close to home and work. Tuition at Tri-C is the lowest in Northeast Ohio and among the lowest of all colleges in the state.
William Woods University is a learning community of more than 2,500 students and faculty, including some 1,100 traditional undergraduates representing more than 35 US states and 11 countries on our 200-acre campus in Fulton, Missouri. We offer unique undergraduate programs, including an internationally recognized equestrian studies program, a four-year American Sign Language interpreting program, and a criminal justice degree with homeland security emphasis. Among our network of more than 20,000 successful alumni, we count an Olympic gold medalist, the trainer of Thunder, mascot of the Denver Broncos, and innumerable professionals in medicine, business, law, and education — including more than 600 school leaders ranging from superintendents and principals, and special education administrators. William Woods graduates fill positions at Disney, 3M, Coca-Cola, UPS, Hewlett-Packard and many other major corporations.
Opened in 1971, Paul D. Camp Community College is a two-year public educational institution with campuses in Franklin and Suffolk, and a Center in Smithfield, VA. With the mission of providing diverse learning opportunities to enhance the quality of life for students and the community, the College offers a wide array of educational opportunities and workforce training. Educational opportunities include: Associate degrees, career studies certificates in transfer and career/technical programs; credit and non-credit workforce services; training for businesses and industries; and special interest classes for the community.
