Our independent advice is based on deep industry knowledge and expertise — from long-term industry trends to cutting-edge strategy, products and capital structures. Stonybrook clients include insurers, reinsurers, agents, brokers, managing general underwriters and asset managers, private equity firms, hedge funds and alternative asset managers. We have insights based on long experience, unmatched industry contacts and a track record of successful outcomes for our clients. Mr. Grassi joins Stonybrook Capital from private practice, where he advises companies in the InsurTech space at various stages of development, structures cross border transactions and serves in private corporate boards. He began his professional career in Switzerland and later as a White & Case fellow in New York. He then joined American International Group, Inc., where, during his 25 year tenure in the insurance and financial services industry, he served in M&A roles and led legal, compliance, regulatory and corporate affairs teams across 5 continents. Mr. Grassi earned a J.D. from the University of Bern School of Law in Switzerland, where he graduated “cum laude”, and received his Master of Laws Degree from Fordham University School of Law in New York. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Grassi is an avid pilot and holds FAA commercial certificates for airplanes and gyroplanes.
