Reporting to the GM of Auction.com Residential, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), is responsible for driving buyers and sellers onto our innovative real estate platform. You are responsible for leading a team of skilled marketers ensuring that the strategic marketing direction of our Residential business is in line with overall company goals and objectives. Bringing your marketing expertise and domain knowledge in consumer and wholesale real estate, you and your team will own crafting the messaging and positioning for Auction.com`s Residential business unit. You`ll develop innovative marketing programs that span digital, print, and event marketing to drive buyer and seller demands to help achieve clear revenue goals. You will bring a deeply analytical and systematic approach to the business to ensure that all lines of business are informed and understand how all programs affect them. You and your team will work in partnership with a cross-functional team of stakeholders, including the Residential Chief Revenue Officer, to determine appropriate marketing programs and KPIs.
Based in Irvine, California, the Residential CMO will manage a domestically dispersed team.
Primary Responsibilities
• Own all aspects of marketing for the Residential business, which encompasses both Wholesale and Residential Retail.
• Develop a deep understanding of buyers and sellers, what drives them, and how we can generate more.
• Develop a clear roadmap for how to achieve business goals via marketing initiatives.
• Develop a clear marketing strategy, campaign plans and marketing programs that lead to success.
• Work closely with business leads to develop quarterly plans, with a clear path to success.
• Develop go-to-market plans including strategy, segmentation, targeting, market requirements, metrics, and product positioning.
• Work closely with marketing, operations and technology teams to create an amazing customer experience.
• Partner with internal digital and integrated marketing teams to create highly effective digital and offline campaigns that result in optimal Sell-through rates and achieving revenue goals,
• Support the engagement and enablement of the sales force with consistent messaging and sales tools across each stage of the sales cycle.

Classic Marketing & Web Marketing Expertise: We are looking for an individual that provides a strong mix of this web experience along with classic marketing strength. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of how to apply strong marketing strategies across the right medium for Auction.com (Web, Social, Direct Response, e-mail, Direct Mail, Events, etc.). Proven experience marketing in the web space—SEO, SEM, ROI—is desired.
Customer-Centric Messaging: The candidate we are looking for will have a strong understanding of customer needs and establish messaging and strategies that translates from customer insight to customer needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
Leadership Excellence: The ability to directly and successfully grow, lead, and develop a team and bench of high-performing, high-commitment professionals in a high velocity environment. This professional should be a leader, manager, teacher, coach and mentor.
