Founded in 1914, the Risk Management Association is a not-for-profit, member-driven professional association whose sole purpose is to advance the use of sound risk management principles in the financial services industry. RMA promotes an enterprise approach to risk management that focuses on credit risk, market risk, and operational risk. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, RMA has 1,600 institutional members that include banks of all sizes as well as nonbank financial institutions. Founded in 1902 and headquartered near Baltimore, Maryland, the American Urological Association (AUA) is a premier urologic association providing invaluable support to the urologic community, with more than 22,000 members throughout the world. As an educational nonprofit organization, the AUA pursues its mission of promoting the highest standards of urologic clinical care through education, research and in the formulation of health care policy. The AUA is governed by its board of directors, which includes six officers, eight section representatives and a group of non-voting consultants. There are a variety of categories for membership, but all members are expected to adhere to the association’s Code of Ethics.
