Lone Star Circuits began business in 1986. Since that time we`ve seen dramatic growth in technology, capability, and service offerings. Resonant is creating innovative filter designs for radio frequency, or RF, front-ends for the mobile device industry. We use a fundamentally new technology we call Infinite Synthesized Networks™, or ISN™, to configure and connect acoustic resonators, the building blocks of RF filters. Filters are a critical component of the RF front-end. They are used to select desired radio frequency signals and reject unwanted signals. We use ISN™ technology for finding superior designs to previously intractable problems in RF filters. Our technology uses a systematic design approach that employs a comprehensive suite of patented and proprietary circuit design methods and tools to create filters. The design approach starts from the ground up and is not constrained by conventional design limitations. The current approach to RF transmit filters is incremental optimization of a fundamental design patented in 1931. This approach was adequate until the recent growth in wireless data, which has required an increase in the number of wireless channels or frequency bands. This increase in bands requires new classes of filter designs. We are using our ISN technology to develop new classes of designs that have eluded other RF engineers. To that end, we have fabricated circuitry that demonstrates the feasibility of our technology design approach and have created working versions of some of our designs.
