A rich and diverse history, our heritage stems from three companies that joined to form MWH as it is known today: James M. Montgomery Consulting Engineers (JMM), Watson Hawksley and Harza Engineering Company. JMM was founded in 1945 in southern California. In the early 1990s, JMM merged with English firm Watson Hawksley, Ltd. of High Wycombe, England, which originated in London in the 1850s. The name was eventually changed to Montgomery Watson Harza then to MWH Global in 2001.
