Fowler Products Company, founded in 1952 by the Fowler family in Athens, Georgia, opened for business refurbishing packaging machinery; primarily filling machines for the carbonated beverage industry. In 1970, Fowler obtained exclusive value-add distribution rights to the Andre Zalkin and CIE bottle capping machinery in the United States and the Caribbean basin. Over the course of the relationship, Fowler has gained an equity partnership position with Zalkin and has been licensed to manufacture to Zalkin specifications in our Athens, GA facility. In November, 2000, Fowler became a division of the Pro Mach group of packaging companies, continuing its commitment to provide exceptional equipment, service and responsiveness at a price which provides true value to its customers. Our success has allowed Fowler to earn the repeat business of the majority of companies already using equipment delivered by Fowler. With approximately 80 employees, Fowler Products manufactures machinery for closing rigid containers for virtually all markets, including both hot fill and cold fill beverages, food, pharmaceutical, chemical, personal care, household goods, and distilled spirits. We have 76,000 square feet of manufacturing space, including separate warehousing for "confidential" projects and extensive Factory Acceptance Testing. The skilled, long term team of machining, fabrication and assembly employees is supported by a staff of eight mechanical engineers and four electrical engineers, modern CNC machine tools and in-house programming capability. All electrical and electronic work is done on-site by Fowler Products personnel as well as CNC manufacturing of bottle handling parts.
