The 2005 Base Realignment and Closure decision relocated AMC headquarters to Redstone Arsenal, Ala. Personnel began relocating to Redstone in 2006 and the command was completely relocated by the summer of 2011.
The Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) serves as the research and development arm of the Department of Homeland Security.
