The Shakopee district serves nearly 8,000 students in Shakopee, Savage, Prior Lake, and the Jackson, Louisville, and Sand Creek Townships. Our district is located in one of the fastest growing suburbs in the Twin Cities. Our Mission: Shakopee Schools, in partnership with our community, will educate lifelong learners to succeed in a diverse world. The Ontario College of Trades (College) is an industry-led organization that protects the public interest by regulating and promoting the skilled trades. As a first of its kind in North America, the College puts decision-making back in the hands of skilled tradespeople. The College promotes the skilled trades as a viable career choice for young people, and works with industry professionals to find solutions to matters that affect the skilled trades industry.
Shaw University, founded in 1865, is the first historically black college in the South. Shaw is a private, coeducational, liberal arts university affiliated with the Baptist Church. The University awards degrees at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
