ACA is a voluntary, nonprofit organization working to advance the needs of the paint and coatings industry and the professionals who work in it. Through advocacy of the industry and its positions on legislative, regulatory, and judicial issues at the federal, state and local levels, it acts as an effective ally ensuring that the industry is represented and fairly considered. Canadian Union of Public Employees British Columbia is a provincial division of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, and acts as the political voice of CUPE locals in British Columbia. CUPE BC represents 85,000 workers in more than 170 local unions and across many different sectors. Nearly every community in the province has one or more CUPE locals. CUPE members in B.C. work in hundreds of occupations that help keep communities strong. We work for municipalities, school boards, libraries, colleges, universities, social service agencies, community health centres, private agencies, the ambulance service, public utilities, and other public institutions. CUPE is the largest labour union in B.C. and in Canada. We represent workers in municipalities, education, libraries, universities, colleges, social services, health care, public utilities, transportation, emergency services and airlines and around 630,000 members across Canada. A strong and democratic union, CUPE is committed to improving the quality of life for workers in Canada. Women and men working together to form local unions built CUPE.
