Avure

Birthplace of the world’s first synthetic diamond, Avure has continued to forge ahead with innovative applications of high pressure with its high pressure processing systems for foods, seafoods, beverages, and other emerging applications.   We trace our roots to the mid-1950s when ASEA in Sweden was among the first to commercialize the isostatic pressure technology conceived at Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus, Ohio. Two decades later, ASEA became a part of ABB, which carried on the market development of isostatic and sheet metal forming presses. In 1999, the high pressure business unit of ABB was acquired by Flow International in the U.S., this is when Flow spearheaded the expansion of high pressure technology into the food preservation market under the trade name of Avure.   In 2005, Avure Technologies, Inc. became a privately owned, stand-alone company. Presses with all four nameplates can today be found operating successfully in manufacturing plants around the world.
