The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties is one of Florida’s largest community foundations. The nonprofit organization has invested $110 million in grants and scholarships over its 40-year history. At its core, the Community Foundation is an organization created with gifts from generous people committed to local causes. For donors, the Foundation serves as a philanthropic advisor and partner. For the community, the Foundation serves as a grant maker and a civic leader. Pencils of Promise (PoP) is an international education non-profit organization. PoP believes every child should have access to quality education, and creates schools, programs, and global communities around the common goal of education for all. Since its founding in October 2008, Pencils of Promise has broken ground on over 300 schools in Guatemala, Ghana, Laos and Nicaragua and has provided quality education to over 30,000 children living in these areas.
