Since then, he and his business partner Matthew Bourne have maintained a dedication to quality and an uncompromising pursuit of beauty that has helped revolutionise rug design and restore rug-making to the status of fine art. Each one made to order, Christopher Farr rugs are now a frequent sight at global art and design exhibitions, and in the homes of connoisseurs and collectors worldwide. Christopher Farr continues to protect and preserve the worlds weaving traditions, while pushing at the creative possibilities of design. Alongside Christophers own work, the company collaborates with a considered roster of international artists, architects, fashion designers and other visionaries to produce a selection of designs that remains unrivalled in its creative scope. Distribution is through showrooms located in London and Los Angeles as well as representation throughout the world. Collections include bespoke collaborations with designers such as Andrée Putman and John Pawson and artists including Gary Hume and Makoto Kagoshima. CF Editions collaborates with some of the worlds leading artists and designers, both past and present, including Josef and Anni Albers, Gunta Stölzl, Terry Frost and Sandra Blow. All designs are produced with the relevant institution, art gallery, estate or artist closely involved in the whole process and every rug is delivered with a signed certificate of authenticity. Unlike the made to order rugs, Editions are in stock and ready for delivery.
